Never had any bug problems. Until recently, over the past few weeks.

I noticed in our kitchen near the wall with the window, little (I can't bring myself to say it...) baby roaches crawling around periodically, maybe every two weeks or so. Maybe 8-10 of them. The flyswatter makes short work of them. Obviously, with the babies comes a mama somewhere. I must admit some sense of glee as I dispatched them to Roach Haven or wherever they go.

Is anyone else having a problem with this? Is it the weather? I've been taking the garbage out to the can each night. No dishes in the sink or on counters. Garbage disposal fully crunched and flushed. I've been vacuuming Messy Bessy's crumbs daily (my mom).

The Board of Directors has authorized a $500 reward for information leading to the positive identification and/or arrest of the individual(s) responsible for depositing feces in the community pool. This reward is also authorized for information positively identifying anyone responsible for vandalism to the recreation and/or common areas of The Falls in general.

All information will be kept confidential and anyone providing Information will be held anonymous. Information must be provided directly to Jack Shaw, Signature Property Management. Mr. Shaw can be reached by calling 954-385-3235. If Mr. Shaw is out of the office on property, please leave a contact number and he will contact the caller within a very short time.

The unfortunate incidents at the pool, including pool closure today, Friday, August 13, 2010, involve feces deposited in the pool during the hours of daylight.

Again, each of these incidents has happened during broad daylight while the pool is open and occupied and yet we have received no information of any kind on those responsible of doing so. As many of you are aware, the pool and playground are locked at dusk each and every evening. When surveillance cameras reveal a trespass after the areas are locked, BSO is notified, responds and removes the individuals from the area. There have been almost no trespass incidents in the past and none during the most recent problems at the pool.

Due to the repetitive nature of these incidents, The Board and Management consider this matter a pre-meditated, deliberate act to disrupt use of the pool facility. Any criminal charges that can be brought in the matter will be considered once those responsible are identified. The Board will also consider appropriate action provided by their governing documents and State Statute. Management is presently contacting the Broward Sherriff’s Office to inform them of the problem and to request their assistance.

The pool vendor has applied the necessary chemicals each time to meet Board of Health standards after which the water is tested and the pool opened again. Without any further problem today, the pool will re-open Saturday, August 14.

I'm sorry to tell you that my dad passed away this evening at about 6:00 pm. He died peacefully in his sleep, and while we are sad, we know that this is the best thing for him.

My dad chose to be creamated and have his ashes scattered over the Gulf of Mexico; we will not be having a funeral service. I will be sitting shiva for my dad, but because of the cremation, I do not know yet when I will begin shiva. If anyone from this forum is interested in making a shiva call, then I will let you know the information as I soon as it has been determined. I have never personally met any of the people on this forum (with the exception of Bill Usher, who was a a friend to my dad, as well as being my neighbor), but I know some of you met and were friendly with my dad, so I want to leave the option open.

Feel free to make this information public on the forum; I will check for messages periodically over the next several days. If you have any questions, you can either send me a message or contact me on the cell number I gave you earlier.

Thanks to everyone who made my dad's life more interesting; I know he enjoyed NotCrap (WSOM) over the years. It was a way for him to connect with other people, even when he was unable to get around anymore.

I understand you want a reasonably quiet and peaceful environment while dining out but couldn't this be resolved without him hitting the other guy?
